Curiosidades de História
Sabiam que...?
Desde os finais do séc.XI que os Portugueses praticavam um intenso comércio com o Norte da Europa, nomeadamente com a Flandres, onde fundaram um entreposto comercial. A feitoria de Bruges esteve activa até ao séc.XVI.
Os contactos com as cidades do Mediterrâneo (italianas e outras) e com as cidades da Liga Hanseática eram já bastante dinâmicos no séc.XIII.
A pintura dos Painéis de S.Vicente foi realizada sobre tábuas de madeira, como era uso na época (séc.XV). Essas tábuas estiveram perdidas por muitos séculos e, quando foram encontradas, verificou-se que estavam a servir de andaime a umas obras na igreja de S.Vicente de Fora, em Lisboa. De facto, alguém reparou que as tábuas usadas pelos operários estavam pintadas e mandou-as retirar. Depois foram restauradas. Esta pintura representa um marco na arte portuguesa, não só pelo realismo do retrato mas também pelo facto de ter sido utilizada uma técnica, a pintura a óleo, que tinha sido descoberta na Europa, havia poucos anos.
Os Açores foram povoados por muitos Flamengos, isto é, colonos oriundos da Flandres. A Flandres (parte das actuais Bélgica e Holanda) era,na época, domínio do Duque de Borgonha, casado com uma Infanta portuguesa, D.Isabel, irmã do Infante D.Henrique.
O açúcar era um produto muito raro na Europa e, por essa razão, o seu preço era muito elevado. Na época, atribuíam ao açúcar algumas propriedades medicinais. As pessoas que não tinham acesso à compra de açúcar (a maioria) utilizavam o mel.

Top 5 (Aves)
Senhoras e senhores... Meninos e meninas... Apresento-vos o TOP 5. Este é o das aves. O júri sou eu e se alguém estiver em desacordo diga nos comentários.
1 - Falcão
A razão para o falcão ser o número 1, é sem dúvida por ele ser talvez uma das aves de rapina mais rápidas e elegantes que alguma vez existiu. Vou ser sincero ao dizer que prefiro os falcões que as águias.
2 - Corvo
O Guardião da Noite. É a ligação entre os vivos e os mortos. Muito cuidado...
3 - Mocho
O mocho é sábio, ancião, e amigo da noite. É o suficiente para estar no 3º lugar.
4 - Pinguim
Sim, o pinguim é uma ave. Havia de ser o quê ? É um animal muito fiel e vive em comunidade.
5 - Andorinha
Escolhi este pássaro janota, porque se pensarmos um bocadinho:
-é um símbolo de mudança (por causa da migração)
-também é um símbolo do bem (leiam o livro "o Gato Malhado e a Andorinha Sinhá")

Finalmente...
Oh Yeah! A colecção Crónicas de Avantia já está à venda nas livrarias. Ui Que Bom!!!
As Crónicas de Avantia é uma colecção do mesmo autor de Feras e Heróis, Adam Blade.
Penso que a história seja assim: Avantia está numa situação crítica pois um feiticeiro malvado quer atacá-la. Tanner, um rapaz de 15 anos com memórias trágicas (mãe sequestrada e pai assassinado) é escolhido como Rider (cavaleiro), de um fénix chamado Firepos. Ele tem que impedir que o feiticeiro destrua Avantia e recrutar outros Riders.
Deve ser tão fixe...
